FAQ
You can register for the Hackathon Fulda 2025 via the ticket shop at https://eveeno.com/hackathon_25. The participation fee for the Hackathon Fulda is 25 Euro (15 Euro until 31st August 2025). In return, you will receive free catering and a great welcome package for the entire hackathon.
Anyone who wants to can take part! However, a basic technical understanding, the ability to programme or other skills that are needed in the process of solving a technical challenge are of course useful. Even if you have knowledge in the field of ‘disaster control’, you are welcome to participate. You should be of legal age (please contact the organiser if you are aged 16-18).
Yes, you can register individually. However, you can only work on a challenge as a team. If you don't have a team yet, you can form one on site at the start of the hackathon. We also offer a moderated team building session.
No, not in the first step of the registration process. However, you will be asked in advance whether you already have a team. We ask you to add more people if your team has less than 8 members. The event will start with a team building session.
A team must consist of at least 8 people. There is no fixed upper limit.
The exact challenge description will be sent to all registered participants by email shortly before the event. On Saturday morning, exemplary scenarios will be presented by various experts from the field.
There will be coaching and feedback sessions for each task on Saturday evening. Here you can present your approaches or partial approaches as a team in a personal discussion with our experts and ask questions.
Each team has 5 minutes to present their solution to the jury and the audience. The jury also asks a question.
The presentations will take place on Sunday, 26th October from 12.15 pm. At the same time, we will of course also be looking at what you have programmed or developed during the hackathon. We have our own review team for this.
The rights always belong to the team. By participating and presenting, you do not assign any rights of use.
We will provide you with food and (non-alcoholic) drinks during the entire hackathon. This means there will be several meals and snacks for you. Drinks are available around the clock. Catering is included in the participation fee.
Catering will mainly take place in front of the hall. A food truck will be waiting for you there and we will provide bar tables and umbrellas.
And, very importantly, we will of course also have enough mate tea...
The Hackathon Fulda will once again take place in Hall 8 (Building 52) at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. You can use the campus map to find your way around the university grounds. The university can be reached by bus on lines 6 and 16 (direction Lehnerz) from the railway station every 15 minutes. Fulda is connected to the FlixBus and MeinFernbus long-distance bus network. All further information about the stops and routes can be found on the providers' websites.
For those arriving by car, car park P2 (see map) is available free of charge.
Who wants to sleep anyway?
However, you can stay in the hall for the entire event and do not need accommodation.
Yes, you will receive your welcome package at the beginning of the Hackathon. You'll be surprised!
We are looking for clever minds who enjoy forging ideas. People who also want to think through unconventional solutions. You should be curious and enjoy intensive and rapid development.
If you are a programmer, engineer, designer, artist, business economist or project manager, then the hackathon is just right for you. You don't have to be a professional or have formal qualifications, but the hackathon is an exciting learning experience, especially for talented people and people in training.
Overall, a team can make good use of different professions and competences.
The following is assessed:
• the code you wrote
• your pitch in front of the audience and the jury
If you feel ill or unwell, please be considerate of all other participants. This means: If you do not feel well before the start or during the hackathon, we ask you to stay at home or go home immediately.
If you already have a team, you are welcome to work remotely.
